Travelling with Pets

Pets in the terminal building

Effective January 25, 2010 all pets must be kept in an airline approved travel kennel while in the terminal building at the Fredericton International Airport.

This policy has been issued for the comfort and safety of all airport customers and employees.

It is intended to respect those with allergies/other health concerns or who experience fear and anxiety when around pets. It also helps specially trained police and service/guide dogs do their jobs unimpeded.

The policy is consistent with most national and international airports. Signs are displayed at public entrances.

Designated pet relieving area

A designated relieving area is available for airport customers to take their pets or service animals near the Arrivals exit.
