Congratulations to the winners of the official FROSTival Photo Contest!

Presented by Fredericton Tourism and the Fredericton International Airport Authority in conjunction with the 2014 FROSTival celebrations, the contest challenged FROSTival attendees to capture the spirit of FROSTival through their photos.

Our grand prize winner, Mila Marini, captured the joy of skating outdoors on a beautiful winter day. Her photo was taken at Mactaquac Provincial Park, where FROSTival was celebrated with a “Winter Wellness Weekend” featuring sleigh rides, a snowman scavenger hunt, and – of course – skating!

Mila takes home the Grand Prize and $500 cash from the Fredericton International Airport Authority.

The remaining photos from the judges’ Top 10 were then sent to the YFC Facebook page where our fans had a chance to vote for their favourite. Sara Wormell’s photo of the horses at Winterfesthiver was the resounding winner, with over 400 votes.

She says that the horses, which were pulling the sleigh ride, “were so cute and seemed so happy. In this photo they had stopped for a break and were having a little snuggle session, it was so cute and I had to get a photo.”

Sara takes home the “Fan Favourite” prize and $100 cash.
