New daily Ottawa service and improved Toronto schedule at Fredericton International Airport

Enhanced Air Canada schedule celebrated by businesses and travellers

December 15, 2025, Lincoln, NB – The Fredericton International Airport and Air Canada are celebrating the launch today of the new daily, non-stop service between Fredericton and Ottawa, along with an updated schedule on the Fredericton – Toronto route to better serve travellers throughout the Capital Region.

“We are pleased to offer residents of Fredericton and the vicinity easy connectivity with Ottawa,” said Alexandre Lefevre, Vice President – Network Planning at Air Canada. “This new non-stop flight linking the two capitals will facilitate business and leisure travel, help support local tourism, and offer travellers more choice across our domestic network, including to popular sun destinations from Ottawa.”

The new Ottawa route adds to Air Canada’s schedule at YFC, which now includes two daily flights to Toronto, two daily flights to Montreal, and one daily flight to Ottawa, along with enhanced service during the peak summer travel season.

“We’re excited to continue growing with Air Canada,” says Johanne Gallant, President and CEO of the Fredericton International Airport Authority (FIAA). “Since 1952, they have been connecting our Capital Region to the world, and this new Ottawa flight is more great news for our local travellers.”

Ottawa is an important connection for New Brunswick’s Capital Region, and local businesses are celebrating the addition of this new route.

“Meetings and conventions are a major driver of local economic impact, and this enhanced Air Canada connectivity is great news — competitive air access is one of the key factors national planners consider when choosing a host city,” says Erin Blanchard, General Manager of the Fredericton Convention Centre.

Morgan Peters, CEO of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, adds, “Air Canada’s commitment to Fredericton strengthens our role as an essential link in Canada’s economic and security future.”

In addition to the new Ottawa route, Air Canada has adjusted timing on the Fredericton – Toronto route to enable easier connections to its extensive worldwide network. A 5:45 am departure from Fredericton will arrive at Pearson International Airport by 6:54am, every day of the week. A new return flight starts the same day, departing Toronto at 8:50 pm and arriving at YFC at 11:40pm.
