Johanne Gallant reconnue parmi les 50 meilleurs PDG du Canada Atlantique

Johanne Gallant recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs

Atlantic Business Magazine is naming Fredericton International Airport Authority (FIAA) president and CEO, Johanne Gallant, one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs for 2020.

When Johanne joined the FIAA team five years ago, the Fredericton International Airport (YFC) had a track record of solid financial management and growth. Under her leadership, YFC continued to thrive, and western New Brunswick’s airport was transformed from a monopoly into a competitive environment with three year-round carriers and additional flights to sun destinations in the winter season.  These additions brought 22% traffic growth during Johanne’s tenure, with the airport welcoming a record 427,085 passengers in 2019. The long overdue $32-million construction project was also launched in 2019 and is transforming the terminal building into a modern airport that reflects its vibrant community.

“We are fortunate to have Johanne leading FIAA and the Board of Directors is thrilled that she is being recognized for her exceptional work,” says FIAA Board Chair Mary Goggin. “Johanne has extensive knowledge of the airline industry, airport operations and an exceptional ability to bring stakeholders together to support this vital transportation asset. She is truly a top CEO.”

These skills are needed now more than ever, as the aviation sector faces unprecedented challenges. The team at FIAA is thankful to have a dynamic and dedicated leader keeping the organization focused on its mission of contributing to our community’s vitality and economic prosperity by providing a gateway to the world. Congratulations to Johanne and her fellow award winners on this accomplishment, and for your hard work in making Atlantic Canada’s communities stronger.
