New Brunswick Highland Games … at the airport
When you step off an airplane, is this what you’re expecting to see?
On July 25, that’s exactly what happened at the Fredericton International Airport! In honour of the New Brunswick Highland Games Festival, which took place here in Fredericton July 25 – 27, we invited bagpipers and drummers to serenade arriving and departing passengers.
All three performances were well received, and the musicians got plenty of smiles, thumbs-up, and even a few photo requests. Thank you to the four musicians who volunteered their time: Peter McDougall, Eric and Paul Duivenvoorden, and Megan Stewart.
If you missed the New Brunswick Highland Games Festival this year, mark it on your calendar for 2015! It’s a three-day Scottish cultural event that includes entertainment, highland games, bagpiping and drumming competitions, and workshops on all things Scottish.
